What you're buying

Each piece sold by Lost Ukiyo is an original work, created on glacier ice using meltwater and non-toxic ink. No copies are made. No reprints exist. What you receive is the only version of that piece that will ever exist.

Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in EUR and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Lost Ukiyo does not store your payment details.

Shipping

Pieces are shipped from a remote part of Iceland. Dispatch happens on a set schedule, shown on the site banner — check there for current timing. International orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes. These are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in the listed price.

Once a piece is handed to the shipping carrier, risk of loss or damage in transit passes to the buyer. We package each piece carefully, but we are not liable for damage caused by the carrier.

Returns

Given the one-of-a-kind nature of each work, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges. If a piece arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs. We will issue a full refund. Because each piece is unrepeatable, no replacement is possible.

Copyright

Purchasing a piece transfers ownership of the physical object only. You're welcome to photograph and share your piece personally or on social media. Lost Ukiyo retains all copyright and commercial reproduction rights to the artwork itself.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, shipping address, email, and payment confirmation (handled by Stripe — we never see your card details). If you sign up for our mailing list, we collect your email address.

Why we collect it

To fulfil and ship your order, to contact you about your order if needed, and — if you've opted in — to let you know when a new collection is released. Order data is processed to fulfil our contract with you. Mailing list data is processed based on your consent.

Analytics

This site uses basic analytics through Squarespace to understand how visitors use the site. This data is anonymized, kept only as long as needed for that purpose, and is not sold or shared with third parties.

How long we keep it

Order information is kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Mailing list data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us directly. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any point using the link in any email. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
